the story

Why did we start The Well?

In the gospel of John, chapter 4, meeting Jesus changed everything for the woman at the well. But it didn’t stop with her, it then went on to change the whole town.

The few moments she spent with Jesus were key to that town's revival.

Jesus is our Saviour, our Lord, the L
over of our soul and without Him we are lost. When we take our eyes off of him we become a distracted bride. If one woman’s few moments with Jesus can not only change her life but also the lives of many in that town, what could happen when we gather together to pursue Him, find Him and spend time with Him?

Over the past few months, we, Fortunatus and Keira, felt the call to create a space that unites the local church around Jesus - to gaze on His beauty, to look into His eyes and to fall in love with Him all over again. Having spent months praying and seeking the Lord about it and allowing Him to prepare our hearts first, we are excited to take this step of faith. A special thanks to St. Mary’s Church in Weymouth and its team for allowing us to gather in the building.

We assume the likeness of the one we gaze upon.

What’s our hope with The Well?

Our priority is to connect with Jesus. We want to see hearts rekindled to that first love. We want to see sons and daughters of a heavenly Father being transformed by the love of Jesus. As we set aside time to be with Him and hear from Him, may He pour the oil and the wine to heal our hearts, baptise us in His Spirit and renew our minds.

The Well is setup not to replace any local church. This is not meant to replace your local church community. Our hope is that this adds to your walk with Jesus. The Well operates with the blessing of the local church leaders and is under the spiritual oversight of the Prayerhouse.

So, come. This is your invitation to spend time with Jesus.

Crafting the Church into a truly united and supernaturally loving family is the very thing God is wanting to do.
